Many of the costs associated with establishing the NCFL were provided by the Virginia Commonwealth Research Initiative through ICTAS. We would greatly appreciate a mention in the acknowledgements of your presentation or paper: "Parts of this work were carried out using instruments in the Nanoscale Characterization and Fabrication Laboratory, a Virginia Tech facility operated by the Institute for Critical Technology and Applied Science."

Do you have a mechanism to help faculty collect preliminary data for proposals?

A small pool of funds are available to Virginia Tech personnel for this purpose. These funds can only be used to cover NCFL instrument time. To apply, complete this mini-grant request form and email it to: ncfl@vt.edu.
