Zeiss LSM 510 NLO + VIS
Description
The Zeiss LSM 510 NLO + VIS is a confocal laser scanning microscope with nonlinear optics extension for multiphoton fluorescence imaging of cell and tissue samples. It can generate 3D stacks of sharply defined optical sections from thick biological samples with high spatial resolution, and it can spectrally discriminate multiple fluorophores. The LSM can be used to monitor the reaction of live tissue to foreign materials (immune response), study targeted drug delivery, or track fluorescently labeled proteins and DMA molecules in tissue. The instrument can observe different fluorescent wavelengths simultaneously without "burning" the specimen, a particular advantage for many biomedical studies.
