A electron tomography reconstruction of an AlZr3 precipitate in an aluminum alloy. The reconstruction was generated from 130 Z-contrast STEM images, each taken from a different angle. The precipitate formed at 375 degrees C and helps strengthen the alloy. It is roughly 15 nanometers across.
